How it works

Lighten it, or lose it

Lasers remove tattoos by breaking up the pigment colours with a high-intensity light beam. Black pigment absorbs all laser wavelengths, making it the easiest colour to treat. Other colours can only be treated by selected lasers based on the pigment colour.

You should first book a consultation so we can evaluate your tattoo and advise you on the process. The number of treatments you need depends on the age, size and colours of your tattoo, your skin, and how deep the pigment goes.

What to expect

Your session, step by step

STEP 01

Eye protection & test

You are given protective eye shields, then the technician tests your skin's reaction to the laser to find the most effective energy for treatment.

STEP 02

The treatment

The laser passes pulses of intense light through the top layers of skin, absorbed only by the tattoo pigment. Smaller tattoos need fewer pulses, larger ones need more.

STEP 03

Fade over time

Completely removing a tattoo takes several treatments. After each visit, your tattoo should become progressively lighter.
